Uncertainty: something in life that no one truly enjoys. Uncertainty can cause doubt, stress, and worry. But while this is something that occurs in our lives, the Bible shows us that we do not have to be uncertain when it comes to your eternity!
While it may be hard to admit, everyone has done wrong.
The Bible tells us that we have all done wrong.
Romans 3:23 — “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Ephesians 2:8-9 — “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
The truth is that every person has fallen short of God’s standard to get into heaven: perfection. The Bible clearly states that every person has sinned, meaning that every person has done wrong. Because of this, and the standard is perfection, no person can be good enough on their own to get into heaven.
Sin has a price that must be paid.
The Bible also shares the price of sin.
Romans 6:23a — “For the wages of sin is death;“
According to God’s Word, there is a price that comes with sin, and that price is death. This death refers to the separation from God after death in a place of torment called Hell.
But there is good news!
The Bible doesn’t leave us without hope though!
John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 5:8 — “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
The Bible tells us, that despite our wrong-doing and sin, God loved us enough to provide a way of escape from the torment of Hell. God desires a personal relationship with each person on this earth. That includes you! So God, in his infinite love, gave us the opportunity to restore fellowship with him.
Because of that love, God has provided salvation!
Romans 6:23b — “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God has provided the gift of salvation through his son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to Earth, and lived the perfect sinless life. He then went and died on the cross to pay for the sin debt of the whole world! To prove his power over sin and death, he then rose from the dead to be victorious over the power of sin.
How can you accept this gift?
It is simple really!
Romans 10:9 — “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
According to what God’s Word, all that you have to do to be saved, is to pray and ask Jesus Christ to be you savior, believing in the sacrifice that he made in his death and resurrection. Simply believe in what Jesus did for you!
